Inviting co-workers to your wedding celebrations can be a tricky endeavor. If applying the simplest of rules, if you hang out with them outside of work, they are probably close enough to you to warrant an invitation. If you only hang out at work, then they probably do not even expect an invitation. If however, you work with ten people and invite eight of them, the remaining two might feel left out, so if you have the budget for it, you may want to simply extend the invitation to all. If you do decide to only invite a few co-workers, it would be prudent to not discuss the wedding at work and in this way, you will not hurt anyone's feelings.

In the end, do what's right for you and your finances and don't feel obligated to ask the whole world to attend. Happy planning!

Are you considering forgoing a wedding registry? Most wedding guests would like to be certain the gift they give you for your big day is wanted and appreciated. Think of it as a list of ideas instead of a list of demands. Be mindful of choosing items from different price ranges as not all of your guests will have the same amount of money to spend.

If you've decided to set up a wedding registry, attempt to do so within a few weeks of announcing your engagement. While it may sound like that is too early, some of your guests may wish to send you an engagement present.

Online registries are convenient for not only you but your guests as well. Normally, thank you notes may be sent from them which is an extra perk!

Perhaps the biggest perk to having a wedding registry is the simple fact that most companies will offer you a period of time after your wedding in which to buy any items you did not get for a nice discount! Don't forget about this discount, as you may be able to purchase items you really wanted or needed and did not get.

Have you thought about how you want to have your hair styled for your wedding? There are some things to take into consideration when planning your “do” for the day:

  • First of all, Pinterest can definitely be your best friend here! Look for styles that appeal to you in the color of your own hair to get a better idea of how they might look on you.
  • Take note of the shape of your face and whether or not it will suit your preferred wedding day hairstyle. For example, a very round face might look better with a higher updo to add length.
  • Take into account the style of your wedding. Braids or loose wavy hair would complement a Bohemian wedding whereas a chignon would look lovely in a more formal wedding.
  • Does your wedding gown have a fancy or open back? If so, do you want to showcase it by wearing your hair up?
  • If wearing a veil or other headpiece, is it heavy enough that it will require a more secure style with added pin reinforcements?
  • Will your hairstyle mind the heat? If your wedding is taking place outdoors and it is hot and humid, will it ruin your curls?

These are just a few things you may want to think over before deciding on a style for your tresses. If you need further assistance, there are always lots of fun ideas and options at our bridal shows.
