Engagement sparklers come with a little challenge called wedding planning. Apprehensive Minneapolis/St Paul brides-to-be should not despair, though. The Wedding Fair can simplify considerably the complex process of planning a wedding for engaged couples. To maximize your experience, read our do’s and don’ts of attending a bridal expo.

Do bring the groom with you

We know this is no easy task. Most men will shudder at the thought of endless crowds, gowns and chatter, but try to convince your guy to join so you can take important decisions together (vendors to choose, budget to spend, etc). For better and for worse, remember?

Do take time to plan your visit

A large scale show can get overwhelming if you don’t organize your visit carefully. Three passes are generally necessary in order to make the most of your visit. Pass one: simply walk through the fair without engaging in conversations or stopping. Just soak in everything you see. Pass two: gather leaflets and brochures from every Minneapolis/St Paul vendor that looks interesting without actually having a long conversation. Then take a break to go through all the promotional material (your feet will thank you). Pass three: Stop by the vendors who caught your eye, have a chat with them and schedule an after-show meeting.

Do wear comfy shoes and stay hydrated

You will be moving and standing nearly all day, so be prepared to step out in your most comfortable shoes (even if they are not the chicest you’ve got). It is important that you drink lots of water on the day to keep hydrated and avoid even the mildest migraine.

Don’t attend a bridal expo if you don’t like to be approached

This is inevitable – at wedding fairs vendors are doing their best to sell their products/services which means they will approach you and start chatting. If this is something you are not comfortable with, wedding shows are not for you.

Don’t rush

Allocate around 3 to 4 hours for a fruitful visit, especially if there are many exhibitors to see and discuss with. It will only take you a few hours to accomplish something that would normally require a few weeks (just envision driving around Minneapolis and St Paul to reach multiple vendor locations). Sounds pretty good, right?

If you are planning to visit the next Wedding Fair, just enjoy your experience and try to take in as much as you possibly can. Every minute of your visit will be worth it.

While planning your own wedding and looking for vendors that are tailored to your needs you realize how nerve-wrecking it is to make appointments, drive from one vendor to the other, and often end up in disappointment.

How about attending a bridal expo, dear bride-to-be? They are designed to help you find anything from wedding venue to wedding cake and shape your big day to perfection. Here are some ideas that will help you find the right wedding fair for you. You’re welcome.

1. Value the location

Some wedding fairs are held in meeting spaces and dull banquet halls.  Some others take place in chic hotels or fabulous event spaces. Go for the latter scenario. Besides, you can also check the potential of the venue, in case you are considering it for your wedding reception.

2. Check the vendors

Wasting time with amateurs is not an option when you are planning a wedding. You need top-notch, professional wedding vendors who are reliable and flexible so they can fit your budget and deliver just what you expect. Look up in advance the complete vendor list on the event website (another indication that the bridal expo is well-organized) and see who will be exhibiting.

3. What else is there apart from vendor booths?

Attend a fair that offers exciting additions. Seeing endless rows of booths can be fun for a while, but at some point it may become boring. Look for a bridal expo with live demos and entertainment, food tastings, a fashion show and an expert panel made of wedding pros who can offer on point advice. That’s what we call added value.

4. Who is hosting the expo?

The wedding vendor, bridal magazine or company who is at the helm of the event is yet another hint that the bridal expo is of a certain calibre.  The greater the wedding expertise of the organizers, the better the quality of the exhibitors, services and products to choose from.

5. Look for incentives

The opportunity of winning exciting prizes (think honeymoons, photo sessions, or dessert tables) attracts visitors to the fair like a magnet. Check that the one you are attending offers at least door swag bags, gift certificates and raffle items. You should never leave a wedding fair empty-handed.

6. Details make the difference

Before choosing the right bridal expo for you, check out its website and marketing materials. They should reflect the quality of the show, so if they are not visually appealing or clear or, even worse, contain any typos, move on.

Want to skip all the research? The Wedding Fair ticks all the boxes, so come visit! We are looking forward to seeing you there and make your Minneapolis/St Paul dream wedding come true.

You have never attended a bridal show before and you are not sure what to expect. Let us shed some light on our favorite topic.

Over the years, our Minneapolis/St Paul wedding fair has grown into a fabulous affair with a glamorous fashion show, thousands of wedding ideas, food tastings and grand prizes to be won.  Couples flock to the Wedding Fair simply because it helps them save money, get tailored-made services and experience a fun-filled day. Here are the top benefits of a respected wedding fair. All tried and tested.

1. One of the best things about bridal shows is finding A-Z wedding products and services under one roof. Attending the right wedding fair and following a well-thought-out plan will potentially allow you to book every aspect of your wedding on the same day. And, considering how much time this perk saves, we would say it is absolutely priceless.

2. With bridal shows being so competitive nowadays, vendors have to come up with tons of wedding ideas and ways to get your attention and make you stop by their booths. In other words, there will be lots of incentives and surprises waiting for you, plus some really exciting prizes to win even without buying anything.

3. At the fashion show (the icing on the cake of bridal expos) you will get to relax and admire some of the latest trends in wedding fashion. Every year the runway is awash with styles for different body types, a great chance for brides-to-be to say yes to the dress on the spot. Remember that prices are often considerably reduced, especially if you get a style from a previous season.

4. There will be sophisticated food and cake displays and you will be encouraged to taste everything. This will give you a good hint about your wedding menu so take the chance to discuss it there and then with the best chefs and culinary teams from Minneapolis and St Paul.

5. Ah, the deals! You can get some really good ones at the fair, especially if you are getting married in the off-season. Even if you don’t book anything on the spot, vendors normally offer a fair promo code or coupon that can be still used for later bookings or purchases.

6. You will have lots of fun.  A bridal show is the right place to find exciting wedding ideas and design your big day in a unique way. Make the most of this experience.

Plan your dream wedding in one day at the Wedding Fair, the largest and most respected Minneapolis/St Paul bridal show. See you there!

Brides and grooms-to-be are bread and butter to every wedding vendor. However, getting people to know about your business is no easy job. In order to build a good reputation in the wedding industry, you will first have to market your business well and convince potential customers to choose your company over similar ones.

Traditional advertising tools, such as magazines, TV, radio, and newspapers work, but can be quite pricey. If you want to try something different, consider exhibiting at a wedding fair. It will give you the chance for direct interaction with your target customers (while the above tools won’t) and, if done correctly, it can be really cost-effective.

Want to know if you are looking at the right fair for your business? Here are some points to consider:

How popular is the wedding fair?

Find out how long the show has been around and what people think about it.

What is their expected attendance?

Inquire about attendance in the previous years and specifically ask the number of brides-to-be who attended the show (this may vary from one third to half of the total attendance).

● How effective is their advertising campaign?

Good marketing is key in bringing visitors to the fair and, besides using the main local media outlets, organizers should also make good use of social media.

● How much will it cost you?

If you have already set a budget, find out how much this experience is going to cost you. Ask what is included in the total fee and remember to count in your giveaways and marketing materials, too.

● Listen to past exhibitors

If you know wedding business owners who have exhibited at this show in the past, ask what their experience was. Candid answers always help.

Will there be a fashion show?

This is the highlight of every respected wedding fair and a great opportunity for wedding designers and boutiques to showcase bridal fashion and wedding accessories.

How many exhibitors are expected and what are the vendor categories?

These details will give you an idea about the size of the event and the competitors who will be showcasing at the fair.

Where is the venue located and does it have convenient parking?

The setting is of utter importance and it may influence the number of visitors.

Set your goals, do your research and decide which is the best Wedding Fair for you. Make the best of this experience and the rewards will come for sure.
